Buildings MIA at Philadelphia and Garey

I noticed this myself, and then Richard sent me a photo: the Pomona Unified School District-owned buildings at Philadelphia and Garey have all been torn down now, including where the Safari Gym used to be. Anyone know what's in the works? The entire area has a green tarped fence around it.

THE END

It's been kind of sad since Eddie died, I think he did a good job, and I'm sorry to say I haven't kept up with Pomona politics since he passed. On a related note, his house is now boarded up, any information as to why? I heard vagrants broke in and were living there.

I did a whole post on his house. It's boarded up because his family sold the house, and the family that bought the house lost it in foreclosure. Now it's owned by the bank. I've heard various stories that foreclosures are required to be boarded up (which makes no sense since most are not). The house was kept by the bank in such obvious abandonment (overgrown bushes, etc), that I would not be suprised if someone did break in. In recent weeks, I've noticed that the for sale sign is down and that the grass and bushes have been trimmed about a month ago. It's back to looking bad again now tho. It is sad since Eddie died. I try not to pay attention to politics either, but can't from time to time resist wondering why it's so screwed up and looking for more info.
