Public Spaces

Here's some food for thought on creating public spaces worth caring about. I know some folks don't have the patience for more than a sound bite. Hang in there, the lecture picks up speed as it goes on.

I watched the whole thing, very interesting. I often wonder too why there are huge spaces taken up by 'nothing' and it takes two or more times 'SOMETHING' to move around/within/near it. I saw an example building that JHK showed in another video that showed this building was occupying less space than it actually needed, it had pylons that were unnecessarily humungous. I'm going to watch "The End of Suburbia" when I get a chance to rent it.
