Foot Massage

No, I did not photoshop today's photo. "Foot Massage" is the newest sign to go up outside Ye Olde Lincoln Park corner accupuncture and massage parlor. Is it just me, or?

I noticed it yesterday also. Don't they need to abide by some time of signage ordinance. I hope the city isn't allowing this type of signage down all of our main corridors. It is a box painted white with red stenciled block letters; I have seen "garage sale" signs that look better than this!
Start making some calls.

It's not the signage I have an issue with, it's what's being advertised on the signage. Given the prostitution arrests there recently, one wonders what it's really all about.

For signage, I draw the line at spray painted numbers.

Given where that sign is located at foot level, I give it 2 weeks before it is demolished by some kid walking down Garrey Ave.

Now, I thought the daily bulletin made an error on their article regarding this address. Was there or was there not an arrest at this location? Please inform us!

1. Assemblywoman Lantz and my favorite Vice officer, Rich Martinez, have both confirmed that there were indeed prostitution arrest/s at this business. (Remember, it was the business owner who told me it was a mistake.) If it had been the wrong address, I would have removed the post and apologized profusely to the owner.

2. After the arrest, the City could not close it down, since it was an employee who had been arrested, not the owner. Since the employee did have an individual license, the City swept in and made it so that anyone working there had to be individually licensed, not just working under the owner's license. This seemed to result in the more banker-like hours I've observed over the past couple of months.

3. The sign may have been stolen by a Pomona foot fetishist over nite, as it is gone today.

4. I thought the sign being at foot level was a nice touch.

Turns out the sign is still around. They must be keeping it inside at night, so as not to tempt the foot fetish thieves.

I've noticed a hand-painted "Foot Massage $15" sign on the West side of Garey just above the bank north of Stater Bros.
