If you read the Daily Bulletin or work in the school district, by now you know that President Obama has tapped Pomona Schools Superintent Thelma Melendez de Santa Ana to be his assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education. I'd link to the DB article, but it's unnecessarily negative, so I won't.
By all accounts, Dr. T was great at her job and did some good. She was a reader of the blog, and even had her own blog (which I noticed was kind of quiet of late). I wish her success for the future and hope there is someone just as good out there to replace her and give me that Arts Magnet Elementary School I yearn for.
Claremont Unified is losing their super for next year as well, but David Cash is only heading to Clovis. Once again, score one for Pomona.

I did read the story what a bummer but more power to her we will miss her.one more thing Goddess love the pic but I dont smoke anymore and that camera I havent used in years that goes back to when I use to work for the LA RAZA NEWSPAPER thanks Goddess.
