Some upcoming events in Pomona's art world:
On Saturday, January 27, 2007, the Pomona Downtown Center will kick off it's new Family Fun Day. This will be a monthly event held every 4th Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at 300 West 2nd Street in Pomona's Art District. The event includes art workshops, computer classes, storytelling, puppetry (will our own Puppet Lady be a part of this?)and face painting.
Then, on February 4, 2007, the Los Angeles Philharmonic will again come to town for a performance at 6 p.m. Tickets in the past have been $5 and can be obtained through the City's Cultural Affairs Committee at (909) 620-2321 (which is located on the second floor of City Hall). The performance itself is held at Pomona First Baptist Church, located at Garey and Holt.
