Today's photo shows yet another Goddess of Pomona statue, this time in Claremont, where this one was commissioned for the organic garden at Pomona College.
You've got to admit that she looks much better surrounded by greenery than she does next to a kiosk at our library. I'd sure like to see her out in the open air, and at least as visible as the Donahoo's Chicken sign.
As 5 year old Mr. Big would say, "Hey Mommy, they copied me." This segues nicely into an upcoming post on how the blogs and the local newspapers support one another.
