We went to Claremont's 4th of July celebration at Memorial Park last year, and for those three hours I could have sworn I was in Indiana. Other than the excessive heat that is. Memorial Park is host to the all-day celebration. There's very little shade to be had, but loads of booths with giveaways, food, and free games and activities for children, who don't mind the heat at all. The parade route down Indian Hill, east of Harrison provides lots of shade tho, although we didn't make it that long last year. This year we'll go later and stay for the parade. Hope to see you there.
The official website for the event is here.
Oh and I won't be posting about any local fireworks demonstrations, as I've always hated them. This year in particular, I think fireworks are just plain stupid and reckless.
