Yet another chance to shop local...

And green grapes at Staters are also on sale. Watermelon are still at $.29 a pound.

And Ye Olde LIncoln Park Massage Parlor is a massage parlor no more. The newly painted building had a "for rent" sign up for awhile. It now has a new (rather new age-y) sign boasting "herbs and accupuncture." Any takers now?

I for one, am happy that there are so many fresh facing running in Pomona. Our city needs so much and hopefully some fresh leadership will revitalize the city.

let's forget if we want to revitalize this city then we need to spend money IN this city.

In the "buy local" thread, I'll plug the new Senor Baja on Mission. There's very little seating inside, so you may want to take your 99 cent fist tacos to go (that's right, 99 cent fist tacos on Wednesdays!)

"fist taco"? I think that was a Pomonian slip. :)

Well tomorrow is 99 cent WEdnesday, so I will try to check it out...

Try the cevice also. I shop at Stater's about 3 times a week. I bought a new wallet at Platform Skate last week.

I assume shopping at Winco is considered supporting local businesses. I wish "Fry's" could open a store in our city :-)

Ha ha! I meant fish taco :) And to think I made the error twice. Argh. Yes, it _is_ Wednesday -- yahoo for fish tacos :)

Please visit Hoa Hing Supermarket (sp?) on Garey between Rio Rancho and Franklin for Indian-Asian groceries. They sell the real deal in Indian groceries and you don't have to waste gas going to Diamond Bar. They also sell Asian groceries similar to RAnch 99. Check it out...and the owner is a very friendly, amiable guy. Service with a smile, long time in Pomona.

1925 S. Garey.

I pass by Hoa Hing all the time and always get a good feeling about it, but somehow have never ventured in. I love the handpainted sign. Thanks for the tip.

I've been going to the Farmers Market on Wednesday's 5-8pm. I bring a canvas bag an fill it up with Veggies and Fruits. It becoming a healthy tradition.

Garey and 2nd St.

We've added a weekly trip to the Pomona Bakery (and we've been frequenting dba256 as well and they're planning on adding Paninis to the menu--hopefully with bread from Pomona Bakery)

YEAH BUT WATCH OUT!!!

That gas station was identified as being behind a huge credit card skimming operation, wasn't it???
Not worth it to save pennies...
