Honoring MLK

One of my favorite quotes:

"Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Here's to my faith that Pomona will finally find our staircase.

Cal Poly Pomona's Downtown Center at 300 West Second Street (two blocks west of Garey) will celebrate MLK Day this coming Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 1 to 4 p.m. Children can create dream clouds, peace art and handprint wreaths. Every child in attendance will also receive a free book. For more info call Jonnie Owens at 909 869 4689.

Mr. Big and I will definitely be there. Hope to see you too. Please tell a friend as this sounds like a great event and the Family Fun Days (which are held the 4th Saturday afternoon of every month) are generally not that well attended.

THE END
