Pomona's Tree Lighting will be on Monday, December 3. Kudos to Pomona for waiting until December to start decorating. What is it with Christmas starting in September this year?

"Pomona tree lighting set Monday

POMONA - Cool weather, hot chocolate and holiday tunes will be part of Monday night's Holiday Prelude, Pomona's annual tree lighting celebration.
It is a free two-hour event that begins at 5 p.m in the Civic Center, 505 S. Garey Ave.
The festivities kick off with a performance by the Roosevelt Elementary School Glee Club, said Drexel Cross, recreation supervisor with the city's Community Services Department.
At about 5:45 p.m., after Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive, the city's Christmas tree will be lighted.
Members of the Diamond Ranch High Stylus Singers will perform at 6 p.m. Closing the evening will be the Ganesha High Chorus at 6:30 p.m.
Free hot chocolate, hot apple cider and cookies will be part of the evening.
A children's area will be set up for coloring and crafts."
