Just a reminder that the Downtown Pomona Library will host the Luau Lady's Bubble Show tomorrow, Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. inside the children's department. This is one of the library's big events this Summer, so I'm thinking Mr. Big will miss his nap for this one.
The guy shown in the photo (at far right) is the Bubble Man of the Santa Monica Pier. He sets up shop right outside the Santa Monica Carousel on both weekends and weekdays. His running dialogue with the children is both funny and on their same wavelength, and kind of deep and meaningful too. He might look like just another Venice homeless person, but he does private parties and I would imagine he does quite well financially (for some one who looks like they sleep on the beach). He's the closest thing to the Pied Piper I've seen! We'll see how the Luau Lady of Bubbles compares.
